Torbay (Brixham & Torquay)

Nestled between Berry Head and Hope’s Nose is Torbay, the English Riveria! With its stunning sandy beaches and amazing geology Torbay was granted UNESCO Global Geopark status in 2007 and where better then to view these amazing sites than from a kayak or paddle board! Escape the busy beaches for some peace and quiet as you glide effortlessly past guillemot colonies at Berry head or past Crystal Cove with its twenty five metre stretch of sparkling calcite!

Sea Kayaking and Paddle Boarding in Brixham 

Brixham is one of the UK’s busiest fishing ports and the town is steeped in a rich seafaring history. Between Brixham and Paignton you are sheltered from the prevailing westerly winds, this is an ideal location to get a feel for Sea Kayaking or Paddle Boarding whilst exploring its stunning rugged coastline. Alternatively, if it’s a calm sunny day you can head out around Berry Head where you will find spectacular sea cliffs, huge sea caves, impressive sea arches and wildlife as well as much more. The Breakwater Bistro, at our launch site on Breakwater Beach, provides post-trip refreshment as well as delicious meals made from locally sourced food!

Hop onto the water at the bustling tourist town of Torquay and in minutes you are out of sight of the crowds and enjoying a rugged cliffy coastline! If conditions allow, the paddling from Meadfood to Babbacombe Beach is stunning.
