Level 3 – Intermediate Sea Kayak Course
Advance Your Skills With Our Sea Kayaking Courses
The Level 3 Intermediate Sea Kayak Course is aimed at keen Sea Paddlers who understand the fundamentals, and want to take their skills to the next level. Under the supervision of our coaches, you can venture into conditions, and sections of the coast, that will let you expand your understanding of the sea.
We tailor each course to suit your needs and meet the aspirations of the group. However, a typical Level 3 course will involve things like:
- Personal skill development
- Rescue and emergency procedures
- Incident management
- Rough water handling and strategy
- Tidal planning and navigation
- Equipment; what to carry, how and when to use it
We are located in the heart of a classic section of coast for Sea Kayaking; with direct access to the water and a huge selection of possibilities to suit whatever conditions are thrown at us. The Level 3 course is usually run during Spring Tides so your coach can lead you to exposed headlands where you can start to experience tidal races. We also have access to one of the best locations in the UK to start to learn how to surf in a Sea Kayak.
The Right Level For Me?
You should be a keen sea paddler and might already be part of a kayak club. You don’t need to have a reliable roll but it should be something you are keen to develop. You should be comfortable kayaking in force 4 winds and be comfortable to launch and land through small waves.
2 Day – Vs – 5 Day Courses
Our standard 2-day course is packed full of information and top coaching that will help you learn new skills and gain knowledge.
