SUP Guided Trips‹ Home
(NEW FOR 2017!)
Dartmouth offers a huge selection of fantastic SUP trips, based in the heart of an designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a SUP is the perfect way to explore this beautiful environment. You can find your balance in the calm, quiet creeks of the Dart Estuary before heading out to explore the spectacular coast line. The SUP’s glide silently through the water letting you get up close to lots of wildlife. Because you are standing up it is easy to look into Devon’s crystal clear water where you will see all sorts of cool creatures!
It’s surprisingly easy to stay dry on an SUP board, however anyone who fancies a swim can dive in for a splash and then very easily get back on board. If you’re feeling a bit wobbly you can start by kneeling comfortably on the board before plucking up the courage to stand up!
We have a fleet of top of the range Red Paddle SUP’s. Red Paddle are the global market leaders for SUP’s and the company is based just outside Dartmouth, giving testament to how good the paddling is here! Most of the summer all you’ll need in shorts and t-shirts but we have full wetsuit, shorty wetsuits or wetsuit vests to cater for all your needs. Over the top of this you can wear our comfortable buoyancy aids.
We have new waterfront changing facilities with hot showers for those who get wet! We can also securely store your gear while you are out on the water.
WHAT DO I NEED?
Most of the summer you will be comfortable in shorts and t-shirts or a long sleeved rash vest/thermal. We can provide you with a website if you need one. A pair of old shoes or sandals that you don’t mind getting wet. A drink and a snack (which your instructor can carry in a dry bag) so we can stop for a break on a remote beach.
WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?
You don’t need any previous experience, you don’t even need that fit, just a keen desire to get stuck into a fun active sport. Non swimmers are also very welcome.
